Bio

Art in Action is a nonprofit visual arts organization providing online, interactive curriculum for schools for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. The Art in Action lessons are based upon great works of art and aligned with the common core state standards. Students learn creativity, critical thinking, and to work collaboratively. Each program level contains 12 different lessons.

The Art Inspector is an art/curation project founded in 2009 by Danielle Siembieda to educate the arts community about healthier practices of art making including safety, personal health, and care for the environment. Healthy Art Workshops are available to classes interested in learning about the environmental impact of their art through energy assessments, green materials, and safer practices.

ArtSpan, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, builds community by connecting the public to visual arts in San Francisco. Every child deserves access to arts education. ArtSpan's Art for City Youth program aims to fill the gaps left by budget cuts by placing professional artists in San Francisco classrooms. Art for City Youth's teaching artists employ visual thinking strategies during in-class sessions and exhibition tours to expand their students' vocabulary and inspire creativity.
